November Family Fun

Since the kids had veteran’s day off we went to OMSI to check out their new Mindbender’s exhibit before going to Noah’s karate class. Since we had the camera we took a few shots of Noah in his class.

Also in November, Noah’s Sunday school class sang the books of the New Testament. He’d been working on it for several weeks.

Kaara’s school had an art walk in November. She won two awards.

Halloween 2008

Kaara’s class had a Noah’s Ark party on Halloween. She went as a leopard.

Noah’s school had a costume parade so he got to wear his Captain Rex Clone Trooper costume to school. His class also had a party at school.

For Halloween, Kaara chose to be Buzz Lightyear. Noah gave her his old costume when he realized it no longer fit him. We went to our church’s Harvest Party as usual. However, this year Pat was not able to go as his work suddenly changed his schedule to be Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights. We are hoping this temporary as this is certainly not what we had planned. We were planning on more time together as a family and now have less as we have no whole days off together as a family.

Pumpkin Patch 2008

Kaara and Noah both got to go to Bi-Zi Farms as a field trip with their schools this year. They actually went on the same day but Kaara’s class tour was ending as Noah’s began.

As a family, we went to Plumper Pumpkin Patch in Hillsboro. Pat and the kids had had a company potluck there a couple of weeks before and saw that it was a lot of fun. They had pumpkin launching, a barrel ride, a big slide, duck trough racing, and of course a hayride. We were blessed with great weather and no mud.
