Moving In – Slowly
We went to the new house the day after it recorded, moving in a few items that day. That Saturday, we brought over a load of our belongings as well as a new eating nook table and chairs (from IKEA) that Pat and the kids assembled. We had our first meal there (from Burgerville) that evening.
Over Memorial Day weekend, we “camped” at the new house, which now had our sofa and loveseat in the family room, the new flat screen TV, our new dining room set and we purchased new living room furniture on sale from Fred Meyer.

Mother’s Day
Kaara’s preschool had their annual Mother’s Day Tea on the Tuesday before Mother’s Day. We got an apron and a jar of chocolate chip cookie mix this year. And of course the annual interview where the teacher asks the child questions about their mother and writes the answers down for the parent to keep. Once again, my children think I’m OLD. When asked how old I am, Kaara’s answer was 100!
Mother’s Day was low-key with all the moving and overtime Pat has been working. I got a certificate for a lunch at Beaches or a trip to a lighthouse. Hope to redeem that sometime this summer when things settle down.
