Noah participated in the Pinewood Derby held by his Royal Rangers outpost on Sunday. He wanted a Dinoco Lightning McQueen car and Dad delivered. The car came in third place in the race and took the Best of Show trophy too.

Lunar Eclipse
There was a total lunar eclipse last Wednesday. Though this photo wasn’t our view, we did get a pretty good view and Pat brought out his telescope that he got for Christmas so we could get a close up view.
Gōng Xǐ Fā Cái
We had a pretty simple Chinese New Year celebration this year. It was on a day Kris had to work so we just went out to dinner. Our favorite Chinese restaurant, Great Wall of China in Vancouver, was closed for remodeling so we had to try a new restaurant this year. We went to the Silver Dragon. It was pretty good but we still miss Great Wall.
This is the year of the Rat. The Rat was welcomed in ancient times as a protector and bringer of material prosperity.
We are working on potty training with Kaara. She can do it. She just doesn’t “want to” in her words. I am obviously not a master of the “potty training in a day.” Hopefully, she will “want to” soon.
Sailing into 1st Place
Noah’s Royal Ranger’s Outpost had their Rain Gutter Regatta today and after 20 races, Noah emerged as the winner!
He won 10 out of 20 races and then won two out of three in the race off for first place.
