Spring Baseball

Spring brings baseball again to the Keener household. This year Noah is in Coach Pitch instead of T-ball. We will be spending our Saturdays until Father’s Day on the field. So far we’ve managed to avoid the downpours at the games and practices. It’s been a bit cold but we are looking for some nicer weather to show up soon.

Easter 2008

The Saturday before Easter, the kids got their first opportunity to color easter eggs. Then, we went to an Easter Egg Hunt at Hathaway Park across from Noah’s school. We watched Veggie Tales “An Easter Carol” after dinner.

Sunday morning the kids awoke to baskets of goodies left by the Easter bunny before we went to celebrate our risen Savior at church. Then we had lunch at TGI Friday’s, where Noah ate a cheeseburger and fries instead of his normal chicken fingers (helped along by the bribe of ice cream and chocolate syrup). We relaxed the rest of the afternoon and evening.

May the hope of Easter fill all of your days.

Green Eggs And Ham

In Honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, Noah’s school had a Green Eggs and Ham dinner (courtesy of Beaches restaurant). Noah won a $25 gift certificate to Beaches in the raffle and also got a book. And he surprised me in the library afterward by picking up Green Eggs and Ham and reading it to me. He didn’t have time to finish it at school so pulled out his copy at home to finish reading it to me. I got the last little bit on video.
