After attending many programs for Noah while he was in preschool, Kaara finally had the opportunity to be in one herself. Her preschool held it’s annual Christmas program on December 19 with the theme of Christmas Around the World.
Another little girl from Kaara’s school was also adopted from China and wouldn’t you know it her mother had bought her the exact same dress as Kris got Kaara. They both looked beautiful and everyone thought they were sisters.
Yes, Noah has lost his two bottom baby teeth just in time for Christmas (just like his Aunt Kathy many, many years ago).
His first tooth came out on December 9 while biting into a PopTart. (We never found the tooth. We think he may have swallowed it. We told him the Tooth Fairy snatched it when he ran upstairs to tell Mom. We know this because Mom found his dollar under his pillow later – yes, baby teeth are now going for a dollar.)
The second tooth came out on December 12 at school. Apparently it’s a fairly common occurance in kindergarten as his teacher was prepared. She gave him the necklace he’s wearing in the photo, which has a small tooth-shaped case hanging from it and the tooth made it home for retrieval by the Tooth Fairy.
On December 1, we took our annual trip up to Yacolt for the BCYX Christmas Train for the kids to see Santa. This year we were blessed with the perfect falling of snow – enough to turn the area into a Winter Wonderland without posing any hazards (except farther north where this storm closed I-5 for a couple of days).
