We decided to visit a little of our own area’s history and took the kids to see Ft. Vancouver for family day. They had a real blacksmith working in the blacksmith shop. Apparently, you can actually sign up for classes (16 and older) to learn how to be a blacksmith.
Kaara is finally big enough for her feet to reach the pedals on a tricycle so we decided not to wait for her birthday and went ahead and got her a trike. She is loving it. Now she can really race with Noah.
Spring brings baseball again to the Keener household. This year Noah is in Coach Pitch instead of T-ball. We will be spending our Saturdays until Father’s Day on the field. So far we’ve managed to avoid the downpours at the games and practices. It’s been a bit cold but we are looking for some nicer weather to show up soon.
Pat bought the kids fishing poles and we had family day at Battleground Lake. Didn’t have any luck catching anything but the kids seemed to enjoy it. They asked to go again. Pat took them a couple of times after school but still no luck catching anything.
